Eazi Access Wins Two Logistics Achiever Awards
Eazi Access, a leader in work-at-height and material-handling solutions, won two prestigious accolades at the Logistics Achiever Awards held on 17 October in Johannesburg. Recognised for excellence in logistics and supply chain innovation, Eazi Access was awarded the Silver Award for Supply Chain Innovation and the Enviro Award for their environmentally focused fleet redesign.
Revolutionising Fleet Logistics with a Customer-Centric Focus
Eazi Access’s awards stem from a complete overhaul of its truck fleet distribution network. In partnership with Resolve Solution Partners and logistics provider Value Logistics, the project aimed to create a streamlined, customer-focused logistics process. The initiative introduced a new transportation management system that integrated people, processes, and technology to boost efficiency and sustainability.
Jonathan Mphake, Fleet Manager at Eazi Access, highlights that Resolve’s innovative approach seamlessly combined operations, processes, data, and technology. The resulting system introduced real-time load updates, integrated inventory management, and productivity-enhancing workstreams to monitor and manage the fleet effectively.
Environmentally Responsible Logistics
Eazi Access also took home the Enviro Award for redesigning its fleet operations with an emphasis on reducing environmental impact. By cutting down kilometres travelled and enhancing fuel efficiency, the company significantly reduced its carbon footprint, benefiting the environment and aligning with rising global standards for sustainable operations.
Making Data Actionable
A key aspect of the project was harnessing data to improve logistics. Eazi Access now has full end-to-end visibility of its fleet, allowing for optimal vehicle availability and condition monitoring. Mphake emphasises the importance of interpreting data to create actionable insights, turning big data into solutions that deliver real operational benefits.
Through this innovative approach, Eazi Access adapted strategies commonly used in FMCG logistics to the machine rental industry, demonstrating a unique synergy with Resolve Solution Partners.
