Eazi Access Will be Showcasing at the 2024 SAPICS

Apr 24, 2024

Eazi Access is thrilled to announce its participation in this year’s SAPICS Conference & Exhibition at Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town from 9th – 12th June 2024. The theme for the 46th Annual Conference is Supply Chain Metamorphosis, reflecting the ongoing evolution of supply chains into new markets and the integration of emerging technologies.

As a long-standing corporate member of SAPICS, the professional body for Supply Chain Management, Eazi Access is proud to be associated with an organisation that has elevated, educated, and empowered the supply chain community in South Africa and across the continent for 46 years. The conference will welcome hundreds of delegates and exhibitors from around the world to network, learn, and share knowledge through panel discussions, presentations, exhibitions, workshops, and case studies presented by local and international experts, all aimed at advancing world-class supply chain practices.

Tralone Lindiwe Khoza, Eazi Access PR & Communication Specialist, stated, “We are excited to announce that Karl Thorington, Eazi Access Chief Business Development Officer, will be speaking at the SAPICS 2024 conference. Karl has over thirty years of operational and strategic experience in Logistics, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain with blue-chip and renowned US multinational companies. His experience spans end-to-end supply chain design and solutions in FMCG beverages, pharmaceuticals, personal care, cosmetics, and cold-chain frozen foods.”

According to Karl Thorington, “I have attended the SAPICS conference for nearly twenty years and have seen it evolve in content and format. From the early days, when exhibitors included truck rental companies, warehouse design solutions, and material handling equipment providers, to today, where data-driven technological advancements improve productivity, efficiencies, and customer experience.”

Thorington noted that customers are now more informed through platforms like LinkedIn and other digital sites, gaining insights that enhance their businesses. However, he sees a great opportunity to further help customers improve their operations, benefiting their own customers in turn. “The race is on to demonstrate and deliver on promises once pitched by consultants, now being offered by regular rental and service provider companies,” he said.

Thorington highlighted that customers at SAPICS can expect Eazi Access to showcase solutions that ensure greater uptime, lower running costs, and enhanced reliability through robust service and maintenance, allowing them to focus on their core businesses. “Our innovation in product investment and solutions aims to deliver on these expectations,” he added.

As a Work-At-Height and Material Handling Solutions partner of choice, Eazi Access holds the title of number 1 in Africa for Access Platform and Material Handling rental, sales, and service. Eazi Access offers a range of safe, innovative solutions tailored for the supply chain industry, which will be on display at the conference. In 2019, Eazi Access was awarded the Best Multiple Exhibition Stand at the SAPICS Annual Conference.

Over the past 21 years, Eazi Access has evolved from a rental company to a full solutions company, reflecting a similar journey to SAPICS. “We have moved from simple rental options to providing complex solutions by understanding customer challenges and working collaboratively to address them with safe, effective, and productive industry expertise,” explained Thorington. “Through strategic alliances with global companies like DP World, we now extend our technology into trucking and transport solutions, including field service vehicles, to better serve our customers. Like SAPICS, we continuously evolve to meet the changing needs of our customers because if we stand still, we move backwards.”

Eazi Access looks forward to networking and sharing insights with delegates across the supply chain sector at this prestigious event.
