Eazi Access Partners With Linde Material Handling
Eazi Access has been appointed the exclusive distributor for Linde Material Handling in South Africa, a move that enhances its offering as a one-stop shop for access and material handling solutions. This partnership brings Linde’s premium product range—known as the “Rolls Royce” of forklifts—into Eazi Access’s portfolio, further solidifying its position as a leading supplier in Africa. Marcus Green, GM of Rental & Sales at Eazi Access, emphasises the alignment in values and standards between the two companies, noting that both prioritise safety, reliability, and innovation.
Key Partnership Benefits
According to Green, the partnership with Linde Material Handling supports Eazi Access in four areas:
1\. **Expanded Fleet**: Over 50 new products, including **lithium-ion and robotic options**, will become available, providing tailored solutions for various industrial applications.
2\. **Growth Opportunities**: Leveraging Linde’s forklift offerings allows Eazi Access to grow its **rental, sales, training,** and **service options**.
3\. **Industry Reach**: Safety features in Linde’s products will open doors in sectors like **heavy industry** and **mining**.
4\. **Innovation**: The partnership supports Eazi Access’s mission to provide **cutting-edge technology** and **customer-focused solutions**.
Extensive Product Range
With this distributorship, Eazi Access will initially cover South Africa and neighbouring SADC countries, with plans to expand into 21 African countries over the next two to three years. The Linde Material Handling range includes 59 models:
• **Diesel & LPG Counterbalanced Trucks**: Carrying capacities from 1.4 to 18 tonnes, designed for safe and reliable handling.
• **Electric Counterbalanced Trucks**: Offering high comfort and versatility for both indoor and outdoor tasks.
• **Electric Reach Trucks**: Ideal for narrow-aisle handling with ergonomic operator facilities and high uptime.
These machines are well-suited for warehouses and distribution centres, with options for diverse needs, including reach trucks, pallet trucks, stackers, and order pickers.
Strategic Expansion into Heavy Industry and Mining
Karl Thorington, COO at Eazi Access, highlights the shift towards diversification, particularly into the mining and heavy industrial sectors. Eazi Access has successfully integrated its services into customer sites, positioning itself as a valued partner rather than just an equipment supplier. To support rapid turnaround and efficient service, Eazi Access has also refurbished its National Distribution Centre in Midrand, with an inventory of around R40 million in parts.
Green underscores that this strategic expansion enables Eazi Access to fulfil customer demand for an integrated solution provider across multiple sectors. He adds, “Our strength lies not only in the equipment we provide but in the uptime, ease of transaction, and aftersales service that distinguish us.”
Building a Comprehensive Customer Experience
Eazi Access’s partnership with Linde Material Handling aligns with the company’s mission to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction. By expanding its product line, maintaining a robust parts inventory, and providing specialised operator training, Eazi Access is well-positioned to meet the diverse needs of its customers, from mining and warehousing to heavy and light industries.
