Get to know Mobile Elevated Work Platforms
Eazi Access is dedicated to maintaining safety, reliability, and productivity in the materials handling industry. As part of this commitment, Eazi Access has partnered with trusted OEMs, JLG and Linde Material Handling, to create safer working environments. The equipment range includes aerial lifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, and low-level access lifts, which are essential for lifting workers safely and efficiently. Known as Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs), this lifting equipment offers multiple benefits and is available for rental or purchase.
MEWPs are safe, manoeuvrable, and time-saving machines designed to lift workers to otherwise inaccessible areas. They are widely used on both indoor and outdoor worksites, significantly reducing the risks associated with climbing and lifting. MEWPs offer versatility across sectors, adapting easily to different tasks and heights and operating on both smooth and rough terrains.
According to Blaize Wulfsohn, Eazi Access GM: Compliance & Enterprise Risk Management, key industry drivers for MEWPs include health and safety (reducing worker fatigue and risk), productivity (through flexibility and efficiency), and technology advancements (enhancing mobility and control). Renting MEWPs for difficult-to-access jobs can also be cost-effective, as they increase overall worksite productivity.
“As a business, we are enthusiastic about the safety, efficiency, and cost benefits we can deliver to our customers,” Wulfsohn shared. “We pride ourselves on ensuring that every customer, regardless of industry, size, or scope, receives the highest level of service and advice to select the right machine for their needs. One of the ways we ensure safe working environments for employees and customers is through training and strict compliance with regulations.”
Legal requirements mandate that workers receive proper training to operate access equipment safely. Eazi Access’s Uplift Quality Solutions specialises in operator training on MEWPs, telescopic boom handlers, forklifts, overhead cranes, and mobile cranes. “Customers can choose to have their operators trained to industry standards, or they can opt to have trained Eazi Access operators working on-site,” Wulfsohn added. This flexibility ensures that customers meet regulatory standards while maintaining high safety levels on-site.
