Eazi Access On a One-Stop Provider Path
Eazi Access, a leader in work-at-height and material-handling solutions, has significantly broadened its product portfolio by adding JCB and Linde Material Handling to its existing JLG, Magni, and Maeda offerings. This expansion allows Eazi Access to provide a complete one-stop shop for material-handling equipment across various industries.
Strategic Product Additions
In October 2018, Eazi Access became JCB’s authorised industrial equipment distributor in South Africa, covering four product ranges:
• **Skid Steers**: Compact machines for low-level handling.
• **Teletruks**: Unique forklifts with telescopic booms for single-side loading and greater reach.
• **Rough Terrain Forklifts**: Ideal for challenging environments like construction sites and timber yards.
• **Telescopic Handlers**: Now accredited for underground mining, bridging the gap between Eazi’s JLG and Magni telehandler lines.
Similarly, from March 1, Eazi Access became the distributor for Linde Material Handling, covering counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, pallet trucks, and more across multiple SADC countries. Eazi Access has already begun discussions to expand this coverage to 21 African countries, positioning itself as a regional leader.
Customer Benefits and Market Needs
According to Marcus Green, Eazi Access’s GM of Rental & Sales Support, these additions align with market demand for a full-service offering from a trusted provider. This expansion supports customers in various sectors, including mining, construction, warehousing, and recycling. JCB and Linde’s advanced technologies allow Eazi Access to provide safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions, even in demanding environments.
Both Green and Karl Thorington, COO of Eazi Access, bring extensive experience with Linde products, enhancing their ability to support customers. Eazi Access’s existing national parts centre in Midrand, with stock valued between R20 million and R40 million, will provide rapid support for these new products across South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa.
Expanding to New Markets
Green and Thorington noted that these partnerships support Eazi Access’s diversification efforts, particularly as the local construction market faces challenges. With increased focus on the mining and heavy industrial sectors, Eazi Access has established itself on customer sites as a valued partner, rather than merely an equipment supplier.
JCB and Linde Material Handling both saw in Eazi Access a reliable partner with a proven service model and extensive footprint to offer unmatched customer support. The comprehensive range of integrated solutions and customer-focused approach set Eazi Access on a path to becoming the go-to provider in African markets for both access and material-handling needs.
